June 8th 2010
Dear Monrovia High School,
I will officially be leaving you in eight days. This terrifies me to no end, not because I have felt safe and secure in the womb of your campus, but because I know that the living world outside your walls only amplifies your defects. At approximately 9 PM Thursday June 17th 2010 our relationship will be through, even if I wanted to continue in this endeavor you will push me aside and there will be no second chances for me.
Over the last four years we have both changed, neither much for the better, but we both have had our moments. You are on your way to beauty as well as cultural and technological advancement, with hundreds of people guiding your way. I on the other hand am stuck unaccompanied into a harsh new world with next to nothing. I have had many wonderful and horrifying experiences with and within you, but it has become apparent that those times will be next to useless in two weeks time.
